Ocelot II
Ocelot II's JournalWhat Trump is doing is ethnic cleansing. I don't know what else to call it.
And we can't forget that the Nazis' "final solution" started out with a plan to deport Jews, not kill them. In 1940 they came up with a proposal to round them up and send them to Madagascar, which at the time was a French colony, and the idea was that France would hand over control of Madagascar to Germany as part of a peace settlement. However, by 1942 due to a British naval blockade the plan could not be carried out and was abandoned. Then they considered deporting Jews to the Soviet Union, but that plan collapsed when they failed to defeat Russian forces. It was only when they no longer had any workable means to deport the Jews that the Nazis decided to move them to concentration camps to exterminate them themselves.
Stephen Miller would do something like this with our immigrants if he could. I no longer have any doubt.
Immigration is just an excuse. Minnesota has a very small number of undocumented immigrants
compared to states like Texas and Florida that aren't being invaded but that supported Trump. Trump hates us because we never voted for him; because he hates Tim Walz for being Kamala Harris' running mate; he hates Rep. Ilhan Omar for being a female Somali immigrant who speaks out against him; he hates Minnesota in general for being a successful Scandinavian-style welfare state that provides free lunch for all school children and supports reproductive rights and protects trans people and immigrants. We stand for everything he hates so he sent his Gestapo to terrorize us. It's not working. Fuck you and your goons, Piggy.
The clergy were getting arrested intentionally as an act of civil disobedience.
They deliberately violated orders to move out of the street so the airport police would arrest them for trespassing or some other offense - it's called nonviolent direct action, which is peacefully but possibly illegally creating a disruption to ordinary business (in this case, airport operations). It's the same technique often used by Gandhi and MLK. The clergypeople expected and wanted to get arrested in order to call attention to the immigrant flights and persuade the airport to disallow them. The video shows the airport police treating them respectfully while arresting them, and they will certainly be released on their own recognizance, and probably just fined. But the whole point was to be arrested.
It will, and they won't be ready.
On January 6, 2021, it never even got below freezing in Washington, DC. On January 17, 2026, it will hardly get above 0; throw in some wind and it will indeed be brutal. We know how to survive in this weather but they will not be ready. So let the winter have them. They'll need more than a red MAGA cap to keep their Nazi-style shaved heads warm. Let their lips freeze to their bullhorns. Let their eyelashes freeze their eyes shut. Let their fingers go numb in their thin gloves and their toes get frostbite in their Doc Martens. Let their junk freeze and shrink in their cotton jeans. Let their small-wiener energy turn to fog and dissipate in the bitter wind. I'll be somewhere else, far away from this shit show, wearing a down parka, ski pants, mittens, and insulated boots with ice cleats.
Yes, acquiring Greenland has been discussed in the past - and it was rejected repeatedly.
The acquisitions of Alaska and the Louisiana territory are not useful or accurate analogies. Russia sold Alaska to the US because it desperately needed money. Denmark doesn't need money. France sold the Louisiana territory, which it had not settled outside New Orleans, because Napoleon was unable to control the territory and feared renewed war with Britain. What the US actually bought was the preemptive right to obtain Native lands by treaty or by conquest, to the exclusion of Spain or France. They were not purchases of a self-governing entity that was an integral part of an allied country. Denmark doesn't want to sell Greenland and Greenlanders don't want to become Americans. That should end the discussion right there.
Hey, Fetterman, lots of people of German descent live in Pennsylvania, so, what if Germany wanted to buy Pennsylvania? Would you be OK with that?
We're in it, sort of, only it's not one group of states vs. another group of states
as in the first one. This time it's the federal government against the states, or at least those that are pushing back against federal overreach. The Trump regime, completely abandoning the principles of federalism, seems to view those states as hostile foreign nations to be conquered and occupied. I'm living in one of them right now, and the ICE presence feels almost like an occupation. They're everywhere and many people are afraid to go anywhere. The city actually had to close the public schools (one of which was actually invaded by ICE) for the safety of students and staff, and some businesses closed early or never opened, for the protection of their employees. If that's not an occupation I don't know what else to call it.
The Monroe Doctrine, which Trump clearly does not understand, is the theory of US opposition
to European colonialism in the western hemisphere that originated at a time when European countries had established multiple colonies in Latin America. Monroe and Jefferson, et al., wanted to prevent further colonization by Europe that would limit the influence of the US or restore monarchism in the region. Much later it was the stated basis for opposing Russian's involvement with Cuba. It doesn't mean American foreign policy includes the takeover of other sovereign countries in the western hemisphere.
Maybe the fact that she married one of the most loathsome men in the world
for his money and didn't at least divorce him when she found out he'd rawdogged a porn actress? Maybe because she resembles the cursed offspring of a plastic sex doll and a stick insect? Or because she exhibits all the personal warmth and compassion of a Soviet Union prison matron? Because she obviously resents having to take time from her busy schedule of manicures, kidney enhancements and entertaining Mierda-Lardo pool boys to appear at public events with her decaying husband? Other than that, she's the very epitome of a classy First Lady. Eat your heart out, Jackie O!
The only way you're not an immigrant or a descendent of one
is if your ancestors had already been here for hundreds of years before 1776 (or 1620), or if your ancestors were kidnapped and taken here involuntarily. How many generations ago were your ancestors required to have arrived for you to be considered a "real" American? Or is the only requirement that your ancestors were white? By the way, there was a time when Irish people (e.g., Sean Hannity, Steve Bannon) and Italians (e.g., Sinatra and Martin) weren't considered "white" either. German immigrants were so despised during the early 20th century that many of them changed their names (for example, Drumpf became Trump).
When Satan finally calls him home, the millions of us who will be celebrating with champagne
and dancing in the streets will be excoriated harshly for taking pleasure in the demise of "our" president. To which I will say, fuck that. Is grave-dancing in poor taste? Yes. And in this case I don't care. With respect to almost anyone else in the world I would agree that it's inappropriate to celebrate when someone dies, even someone I didn't like. When Dick Cheney, a man I thoroughly disliked for too many reasons to list here, shuffled off his mortal coil recently I wasn't sorry, but I didn't pop a champagne cork; I just shrugged - his departure no longer made any difference. If someone is no longer doing harm when they go, if they've ever done something good or useful, if they have people who loved them, I'm not going to dust off my party hat and my dancing shoes even if I don't waste a second mourning.
But when Trump goes - and may it be soon - I'll be ready to party hearty with all the rest of you heartless woke Antifa reprobates, and I won't feel the slightest flicker of shame. In the recent history of the world there have been very few people as absolutely destructive and without redeeming qualities as Trump. He has never done anything good or decent or useful. He has no friends (with the exception of loathsome dead bestie Epstein); I doubt even his children actually love him, and his wife clearly doesn't. He will not be missed by any decent human anywhere, and even though I look stupid when I dance I'm gonna do it and I'll get gloriously drunk on champagne I can't afford and I won't give a flying fuck if some MAGA assholes get their panties in a wad about it.
